The Practice
A custom home is the most personal building a person commissions in their lifetime. The decisions made during construction will be lived with daily for decades. We approach each project with the patience and rigour those decisions deserve.
MACON Build partners with established architects, interior designers, and discerning homeowners across the GTA's most refined neighbourhoods — delivering work that holds up to the scrutiny of the people who paid for it, and the architects who designed it.
What We Build
Ground-up custom homes, from foundation through finish. We work alongside your architect from schematic design through occupancy, with construction oversight that protects the integrity of the original design intent.
Whole-home transformations that retain structural shell and reimagine everything within. Common where the lot, location, or facade is irreplaceable but the interior no longer fits how the home will be lived in.
Second-storey additions, rear extensions, and below-grade build-outs. The discipline here is in the seam — making new work feel inevitable next to old, with no visible transition between the two.
Penthouse build-outs, large estate renovations, secondary residences, and accessory dwellings. Engagements with non-standard programs that require non-standard answers.
Process
A no-obligation meeting at your home, lot, or our office to understand the project, the architect (if engaged), the timeline, and the realistic budget. We will tell you honestly whether we are the right builder for the work.
Once engaged, we conduct detailed estimating, sub-trade selection, and permit coordination. We work alongside your design team to value-engineer where helpful and lock in finishes and long-lead items before breaking ground.
Daily site supervision, weekly client and design-team meetings, and transparent reporting on budget, schedule, and quality at every stage. Our project managers are on site, not in an office.
Punch-list, commissioning of mechanical systems, owner orientation, and the documentation package every homeowner should have but rarely receives. Our warranty support extends well beyond occupancy.
Indicative Project Types
Begin
We accept a limited number of residential engagements each year. The earliest conversations — before architects are engaged — tend to be the most productive.
