The Practice
Commercial construction operates on a different clock. Lease commencement dates, landlord deadlines, and business open dates leave no room for the relaxed pace of residential work. We have built our commercial practice around honouring those deadlines without compromising the finish quality that defines MACON.
We partner with corporate tenants, brand directors, restaurateurs, and commercial landlords across the GTA — delivering spaces that look like a private commission, on the schedule of a commercial fit-out.
What We Build
Headquarters, satellite offices, and professional services interiors for firms in finance, law, design, and technology. Spaces that signal the seriousness of the work being done inside them.
Boutique retail, flagship environments, and brand showrooms across the city's most-watched commercial corridors. Construction work that respects the merchandising and the brand voice equally.
Restaurants, cafés, private clubs, and boutique hospitality. Demanding work that touches every trade — and where opening night is the only deadline that matters.
Landlord-side base building improvements, multi-tenant fit-outs, and turnkey TI packages. Commercial landlords across the GTA who care about the standard they hand to incoming tenants.
Process
A focused meeting on site to review the base building, lease terms, target opening date, and budget. For tenants we coordinate with your landlord; for landlords we work directly. Our answer to whether we are the right builder for the work comes within the first conversation.
Detailed estimating, trade procurement, and permit coordination with the relevant municipality. We engage early on long-lead items (millwork, custom lighting, specialty equipment) to protect the schedule before construction begins.
Dedicated site supervision, weekly client and design-team meetings, and after-hours scheduling where existing tenants need to remain operational. Tight coordination with property management, base building, and your design team throughout.
Final inspections, commissioning, occupancy permits, and the closeout package every tenant and landlord should receive. Our warranty support continues well past opening day — because the punch list always finds you the week the business opens.
